Description
Information in a nice format and expanded:Name: Tucker Santos
Age: 27
Birthdate: 29 June 2252
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 5'6
Weight: 135 lbs
Rank: Ensign
Division: Medical
History:
Santos grew up on Tarsus IV with his parents and his younger brother and sister. The colony had a heavy focus on crop diversity and research following the events of 2246, and Santos worked for a scientist, Dr. Marcus, stationed at the colony for most of his young adulthood. Although the engineering of plants for food didn’t interest him very much, his supervisor strongly encouraged Santos to pursue working with plants in another context. This led to Santos applying to the Tri-Planetary Academy and Starfleet Medical in order to pursue his interests.
Personality:
Santos is fairly laid back and usually goes along with what everyone else is doing. In his youth he didn’t voice any objections to risky plans, but after a few close calls and a broken arm, Santos will speak up if he thinks an activity is dangerous. Santos is a hard worker, but sometimes has problems staying on task. He often has multiple projects going on at once so when he gets bored or distracted he can switch to a different project. While he is a doctor, Santos is afraid of getting sick, strongly preferring to treat injured patients over contagious ones. As he's been in medical school focused on research for most of his education, he doesn't have any practical experience working in high pressure or high stress situations. Santos is prone to freeze up when these situations arise, but a few gentle words pointing him in the right direction will get him back on track. In a dangerous situation, Santos would rather run than confront an attacker. Loud noises will cause him to jump.
Career:
Attended Tri-Planetary Academy for general medicine between 2271 and 2275.
Enrolled in Starfleet Medical focusing on pharmacology and studying plants to produce new medical treatments 2275-2279.
Other:
Santos loves his plants and can be caught talking them when he thinks he’s alone. Almost all of his plants have names. Despite his love of plants, he absolutely hates pineapples.
Santos is a such a picky eater that while studying at the Tri-Planetary Academy, one of his friends in nutrition took the time to program a replicator card with his food preferences on it that rotates through the limited foods he will eat. He still uses it today. Santos will also eat the fruit and vegetables he grows, maintaining that freshly grown crops are better than what the replicators can produce.
During his years studying in medical school Santos found it relaxing to cook and bake. While he still isn't very good, he's kept up the hobby and if given the chance will try to sneak his latest 'masterpiece' into any social gathering with a buffet table.
His handwriting is almost completely illegible. One of his friends went so far in his teasing of Santos about his handwriting that he presented a copy of his handwriting to a xenolinguistics class.
