Yay! My first TRUE drawing using the Graphire4 tablet's pen. This was originally done in pencil on paper, and--much later--transferred to the digital realm by the tablet. It was also my first attempt at shading in a long time. The trees were tricky, as I don't actually know how to draw bark; they became a mess of scribbles. Grunge brushes and a Lens Flare filter make up the background.

The Leafstalk Wurm is a powerful creature I created for a series of novels I plan to write that can control plants and air. The original drawing had several more Wurms on it, but I don't think there will be more than one in the novel.

EDIT 11-13-2005: There were several instances of the line art being run over by the coloring, especially on the trees. I corrected these lines. Also, I added the pretty black border. Enjoy!
