Description
This is my Pokemon character, Crystal and her trusty partner Eve, the Umbreon. I know that Eve isn't a very creative name for an Eeveelution, but there's a story behind it that I'll explain later.
This was my first time using only my tablet to draw instead of sketching first As such I used a picture as a base. Crystal's pose is taken from Cissy, one of the gym leaders from the Orange Islands, and Eve's pose is just the official art for Umbreon. I have to say I'm rather found of just using my tablet, however I'm not very good at it yet so I apologize for the pixellated look it kinda has and the odd shading style However even with that, I am very happy with my drawing and I'm actually proud of it

I created my character a long time ago, my love of Pokemon started 16 years ago and I created Crystal shortly after completing my first game, Pokemon Gold. I've also played Pokemon Red and Blue, however when I first got a Gameboy Advance, which wasn't until 2nd grade, Pokemon Gold was the only Pokemon game I could find in store, thus my first game was a gen 2 game. However I own every main Pokemon game except for Pokemon Leaf Green and Pokemon Pearl (my brother owns this one so I've played some of it as he doesn't play it any more and I stole it ) Now with all that being said, I've only drawn Crystal a couple times and this is the first time I've submitted her here, mostly for fear of the harsh criticism OCs usually receive. However is looking for background characters for her next chapter, and as I really love her comics, I was really really motivated to draw Crystal, so thanks Tamarin

Background

Name: Crystal Winter
Age: 15
Birthday: December 24 (if you read Pokemon Adventures who already know her family )
Hair: Red
Eyes: Silver (it's kinda hard to tell in the picture )
Bio: Crystal hails from the region of Johto in a forest known as the Forest of Evolution due to the high Eevee population. For an unknown reason Crystal was abandoned in the forest when she was just a few days old and found by a Flareon and her young Eevee cub. Crystal remained under the care of Flareon until she was 5 when she was found by a Pokemon Trainer and reintegrated into society. At first no one wanted to adopted Crystal, and she was able to escape, but she was found again when she was 7. At the age of 10 Crystal was adopted into the Rain family, however Crystal really doesn't like them so when she registers to be a Pokemon Trainer at the age of 12 she registers under the name 'Crystal Winter' because winter was the season she was born in. She is a very talented trainer and strives to be the best trainer she can be. Despite preferring battling, Crystal does compete in contests from time to time (because I love them )
Powers: Unlike most trainers, Crystal was born with psychic powers that she has honed throughout the years. She also later develops the ability to use Aura after meeting Riley. This meeting is how Crystal gets her Lucario, Alma, as Riley gives her a Riolu egg. While Crystal is able to focus her aura, she is a stronger psychic and usually uses her psychic powers if she's in a bind.
Family: To the best of Crystal's knowledge her only family is the gang of Eevees she grew up with, who now make up the majority of her team. However she later learns that the leader of Team Rocket is her father, which explains her subconscious hate of all things Team Rocket. This also makes her Silver's twin sister, however the two are completely ignorant of each others existence.
Preferred Pokemon: Eeveelutions, she has raised at least 1 of each. (this steams from my deep love of Eevee and all it's evolutions. Eevee has always been my favorite Pokemon and I love all the possible evolutions of it )
In this picture: At this point in Crystal's journey, she is just starting in the Sinnoh region. This is her first region with Eve as an Umbreon (she evolved during Crystal's journey in Hoenn) and as such Crystal's new look resembles an Umbreon slightly. Crystal also has a yellow and black backpack that I was too lazy to draw, maybe next time. The sliver Pokeball around her neck contains a Pokemon, which remains a secret at this point.

Name: Eve
Species: Umbreon
Special Markings: Eve has a scar on her chest from a fire when she was younger that matches the scar Crystal has on her leg, however it's covered by her bandana.
Item: Muscle Band (though it's all yellow instead of yellow with red eyes) This item serves two purposes: 1) it hides Eve's scar and 2) Eve misses her bushy fur she had as an Eevee so this reminds her of it.
Story behind nickname: Like I stated earlier, my love of Pokemon started when I was young, so when I got my first Eevee I named it Eve, which later turned about to be a weird name since my Eevee was a guy . However the name stuck and ever since I always name my first Eevee Eve and evolve it into an Umbreon
