Teak is an outgoing young woman who is always in search of the truth. She cares about the people of Haven City and tires to help them by investigating the goings on in the city and reporting it to the populace through her illegal radio show (called Teak Speaks).
She works with the Underground, providing them with any information she finds and they in turn give her information as well as protection. They view her as an important commodity to their cause.

She can be a bit eccentric at times and can come off as paranoid due to her investigations.

Her first time meeting Jak and Daxter is when Torn sends them on a mission to protect Teak from an assault by the KG and then helping her get to a new hideout. She gives them tool that can deactivate the alarm system for a few seconds (the more missions Jak does for Teak the more he can use the disrupter and the longer it lasts.)
