my interpretation of beautiful italian city Portovenere, watercolor on paper, 42x56cmmy goal was to make watercolor as colourful as acrylic painting

it depends I stumble a lot of cool photos on the internet, and when they have author easy to find I ask him or her if I can paint it, if not I just paint it but I change something - colors, compositions, add new elements or detele something. A lot of are painted from my own pictures from travels. thank you!!

Fantastic color choices. this has a very upbeat vibe to it that I really enjoy. In my inbox, I thought it might have been an edited photo, I'm gad to see it's a painting though. I love that I can see the variations on the lighting from the watercolors.

The colors intensify the impression of a southern port town in Italy. Would like to be there in the sun.

Yes, the color gives life in the painting which are not in a photo.
Did you see all the objects on a travel or do you use foto's. When I study your artificial paintings I admire the differenciated and detailled paintings.

I've been to Italy many times, but I wasn't in that particular city - next destination My paintings are different, cause they depends on my mood and skills, which I'm trying to develop

Italy is a wonderful country to find architecture of all periods and nice people used to have immigration from north and south.
