Is the preliminary drawing done in ink then painted over?
Been thinking of trying out some water colour pencils someone gave me, might try something similar to this.

Only been there once, what amazed me the most is when some massive cruise ship came past and the café I was in started shaking and a big shadow came over it. Didn´t realize the water was deep enough
