Description
A redrawn map! Now with the proper names in English (that would be Old English, by the way). The Folde is a roughly Euro-sized continent attached to the northern ice caps. It exhibits a sub-arctic climate north of the Northwall Mountains and a temperate climate to the south. The Foldhrof Mountains are considered the top of the earth and the Endless Sea is considered, well... endless.
The humans of the Folde are isolated from the rest of the planet and are not aware that there is more land beyond the seas. The steppes of Norfeld and the Heaholt (or Iriu-Finn) are inhabited by nomadic and semi-nomadic tribal groups who make a living almost exclusively off of hunting and animal husbandry, as the land is covered in a thick coat of snow for most of the year. The vast empty pine forests of the Frozen Wastes are unexplored by humanity and considered to be the home of strange Beastmen. On the waters of Great Ismere live humans known as Rafters, who only come ashore to forage when the ice melts.
South of the Northwalls lies the bulk of the continent's human population. Over the past 3500 years the Aean Empire has expanded from the vale of Deneland to found the provinces of Middean, Hylland, Denafeld, Westhalf and The Farthing. It's capital city Sunseld is a humongous metropolis of millions. For two thousand years the Aean Empire had fought with the Darklings, dark men who had made landfall on the coasts of Suthrim in the year 1402 and established an empire that almost wiped out the Aeans before being pushed back beyond the Suthwall range. Now the Darklings live peacefully in their land, protected from the empire's retribution by the world's most formidable fortifications. The Hrycleng Peninsula is controlled by the merchant-princes of the fabulously wealthy republic of Voski, who contend with the Darklings for control of the seas.
In the gloomy secrecy of Dunnholt live the Dark Elves (after whose name the forest is called Darkwood), tall, beautiful and dark-skinned immortals who came thousands of years ago from beyond the sea. Long ago they roamed the continent freely and Men would greet them happily... but things have changed. For a thousand years they had not emerged from their wooded gardens and humanity has all but forgotten their existence. Their brothers, the White Elves, lead a nomadic lifestyle in the White Woods around Great Ismere. Thirty thousand years ago they were masters of the Folde, and alongside the Dwarves they bled to save the continent from the ravenous Orcs. Now, resentful of all other sentient life they live in seclusion in the untamed forest.
The Dwarves, short, hairy and unbreakable, live beneath the mountains and the tunnel network connecting their various cities spans the whole continent.
Not marked in this map: the Imperial Grand Canal and various major roads, capital cities.

It's hard to tell what is land/water. Try to add little wave lines of change the color.
