Was able to join a DnD game with my party again after a long time!
The in-game explanation for my bard's absence was that he was hibernating in his backpack long enough to evade his taxes. But now he's back, he's rolling nat 1's on his perception after being temporarily blinded and trying to find the nearly-dead rogue, and he's playing inspiring anachronistic tunes.
