    My breakfast was, if not overly appetizing, at least shared with pleasant enough company. Seems I’m not the only one that finds the place and the people rather disturbing. However, this band is far from the serious and steadfast type I might have preferred on this venture. They are, rather, very much like my own Night Raptors; oversexed, chaotic in nature, and given to wild parties, unbridled sexual antics, and cutting bloody swaths towards any available riches in the area. At first meeting, I wasn’t sure what I could offer them that would persuade them to join my investigation. Apparently, alleviation from boredom was sufficient enticement,… that and their Bard, a strange man, rather androgynous and far too beautiful and incredibly charming to truly be male, seemed to take an immediate liking to me. I’m not sure if he even has an eye for the ladies, but he quickly convinced their leader, a buxom and lusty Champion of the Sisters of the Pearl, that my cause was worth aiding.

    This Venture Company is, from what I’ve learned of this new world, almost typical for such a group. They call themselves Phallus Rex, which, as ludicrous as it sounds, is not too far from the truth of it. They were named for the leader’s sword, one of those obscene displays of Erotic magic, an ensorcelled katana with a handle in the shape of a huge penis. I shudder to imagine what other properties it may possess. But enough rumination over that which her companions refer to as King Dong.

    The band, as I record them here, are agreed to aid me when my investigation turns sour and bloody. I suspect that will not be far in the future given the dark portents and horrid nightmares that have plagued me. Phallus Rex is, to that;

    Atrea Cannifur, a Carellonian Human of approximately twenty five years. Her dark blue eyes are strange not in their coloration so much as their power to grab and hold the eye even when her other body parts are so generously offered to the casual viewer. Her libido, as I have come to expect from that sect, is all but unbridled. On Earth she would have been locked away in a sanatorium for her own good, diagnosed with psychosis sexualis. Here, she’s just another horny Champion of the church of a love Goddess. She does, however, like others of that elite group of guardians have demonstrated, have a tendency to be more than a little bossy. She sees her position within their team as leader and defender, and I have no intention of arguing with her self-assessment. I understand she is a graduate of the Raidon Royal Academy, the Kingdom of Atheae's elite military academy (apparently as a foreign exchange student). Hopefully her tactical and fighting skills rival her sexual.
