Attribute:
There are two kinds of pride in the world: The first kind of pride we have when our friends and families accomplish things that are good, when we do our jobs well, and in the deeds of someone we respect, is good. But the other kind of pride is a wicked kind, arising from the love of self, conceit and self-righteousness. And it is from the corrupted kind of pride that Orgoglio was born from. He is a purple-furred hybrid monster with the head of a lion with yellow fur around his mouth, a golden horn on his forehead, a horse's body, and peacock wings. His mane, eyebrows, and tail are orange, with a portion of the mane under his mouth tied with a gold band to form a beard.
One of the Seven Deadly Beasts, and their leader, he was the first to hatch from an egg made from the sin of pride. As soon as eggs formed from the other six deadly sins, he watched over them until they hatched (or in Zorn's case, burst into flames, while Taida was so lazy that Zorn broke his egg in anger). He, along with his siblings, arrived at Sinn's Floating Palace upon hearing of the Dark Landlord's betrayal of his people. The Seven Deadly Beasts pledged their allegiance to him, and in return, were given the title of 'Seven Undying Sinnerals'. Orgoglio then demanded a gift that suits him the best. "A mirror?" Sinn asked. "Yes, a mirror in which I can admire myself all day, without anyone bothering me." The creature answered. Sinn obliged, and ordered the Darksiders to craft a mirro r to give to the Deadly Beast. Then he made similar mirrors for the Sinners when the Seven Deadly Beasts went to their respective realms.
Being the personification of pride, he is so consumed with himself that he does not consider the feelings of everyone around him, even his fellow Deadly Beasts. They tolerate him still. He is callous in his interactions with everyone and sees all Dimension Warriors as pathetic little insects. He also has an over inflated view of himself, so he boasts about himself, and expects everyone to praise him for his deeds and abilities real and imagined, and gets angry when they point out his flaws. Orgoglio is highly intelligent and forms plans that may or may not crash down due to him overlooking significant details, the efforts of Dimension Warriors, and circumstances beyond his control. And when they break down, he blames pretty much everything except himself. Thing is, the Deadly Beast's desire to exalt himself always leads him to attempt either working alone or sabotaging his fellow Sinnerals and Darksiders, resulting in his evil plans failing. But he is too blinded by his pride to realize that. If he were to do good deeds, it would be mostly out of attention.
He acts as the boss of his fellow Deadly Beasts of Sin. Sometimes, he works alone, believing that he can defeat the Dimension Warriors without their help, or ropes in his siblings in his crazy schemes by flattery. But when things go south (come to ruin), he runs or flies away or blames them for his failure. Invidia envies him for being the boss and sometimes attempts to sabotage his plans. Orgoglio, despite his boasting, is afraid of Zorn, but he refuses to admit it. But he finds it a good idea to unleash the Deadly Beast of Wrath on whoever it is that may foil him. He likes Taida, seeing him as not questioning anything he says. He knows that the Darksider General Ragnarok plans to betray Sinn, so he intends to either flatter him or troll him. In truth, the Deadly Beast of Pride is loyal to no one but himself.
He though, has a lot of power to back up some of his boasts. His moves are headbutting people with his single horn on the ground or from the sky (Superbia Point), kicking them with his hooves (Arrogant Hoof), flapping his wings and sending a gust of strong wind at the enemy (Wings of Ego) and emitting five-colored lights from his back to distract fighters (All Eyes On Me). But the move means that opponents can fight only him and not his minions. His special move is shooting a burning light from his mouth that incinerates his victims (Pride of the Dark Dawn).
Of course the Darksiders belong to: Mdwyer5 , KambalPinoy and Candycanecrush
Sinn and the Sinners belong to: KambalPinoy
Trivia: 'Orgoglio' means 'pride' in Italian. It is also the name of a giant villain in Edmund Spenser's epic poem, the Faerie Queene .
