HELLO GUYS! So nice to upload again! And boy did I had fun reading all the comments from last two pages. Haha!
Soo! Of course I couldn't leave you with such a cliffhanger so here are next two pages and let's discuss of some new things in the comic. I learned some new tricks and as you can see, all panels are shaded now. I learned a new and faster way to to do shadows thus I can now pay attention to smaller panels too. I also found and fell in love the pen tool (I use that a lot in Elizabeth. Check pages 5 and 6) and last, the size of the comic is now 1400x1000 rather than 1300x900. Please enjoy.
So yeah! Matthew had a wife. Who knew? Now you can all start guessing what pokemon she was. No need to check minor characters bios. I left her out ON PURPOSE!
Only hint I can give is that she is a flying type too. But yes, now starts the big flashback segment of the story. Uh... So much I'd like to talk about... I'll continue this on next two pages... HEY! It's Zorro! First of the new minor characters to appear!

Maybe the reason the ranch pokemon didn't or don't like Elizabeth is because she has a mean temper? After all, Zorro was just being friendly.
Also, about Matthew's wife. I'm probably wrong, because this is a fifth-gen pokemon, but I'm guessing a Kenhorou? If not, then a Swellow. Although, knowing you, it won't be one of the obvious bird pokemon. It's probably something off-the-wall like an Aerodactyl.

Elizabeth has a bad temper because no one takes her seriously. It's hard when you are barely useful than a magikarp.

I can imagine Napoleon being boorish towards her, but what about Cotton or Vincent? Well, now that I think about it, Cotton probably felt she needed to be nice to Elizabeth for the exact same reason guys like Napoleon were rude to her, which in Miss E's eyes was just as bad. Of course, Cotton is a nice girl anyways, so perhaps her sympathy would have been misconstrued?
As for Vincent...well, he has a good heart, but he's not the sharpest scyther in the grass. He probably said something insensitive without thinking. I just find it hard to believe all the other pokemon, including Ross and Veruka, would in some way disrespect Elizabeth simply because she's a Combee.

One thing we have to remember is that none of our RD friends aren't born yet. Matthew and Elizabeth are the oldest RD characters and this happened before even Veruka was born. Elizabeth is referring to Jenna's older pokemon.

Yeah, combee only learns sweet scent and gust (and maybe one other move since platinum). Their stats are very low too.

What's the new shading method?
Are you using transparencies?

I use only one color for shadows (grayish blue) and put them on a layer with a multiply. Also, clipping mask saves a lot of time so I don't need to do so clean work. I'm planning to do a little step by step "tutorial" how I make my comics now.

I look forward to the tutorial - I stopped shadowing my short comics a while back, but would be interested in any tips relating to quick shading.
Great comic pages by the way, I like the Elizabeth's Combee form expressions.

A Flying-type huhhhh, this changes some, it could be something that is also a Bug-type since Matthew could have a thing for them, since Elizabeth and all, so i think a Beautifly. or it could be something that relates to his items he wears like the cross or the silver ring on his foot, so then i would think an Xatu or Natu since it was in the past and Natu/Xatu looks like the religion type to me. But what i've noticed is that on panel 3 on page 7, the Combee that has a different eye stance like the "T_T" type, and the others look angry....
I guess I'll wait for the next pannel to see my invetigation further.
In another Topic, Zorro looks like the child type in page 8, I wonder if this death of Matthew's wife starts his hate for him.

As for Matthew's wife I'm going to go out on a limb and say either Natu or Xatu. I kinda like that combination.
