Woot! A new doom is here!Okey, I think this one needs little explaining. There are two reason why I made this. first, it's a little thank you comic for two people here on Deviantart who were kind enough to trade me jirachi, celebi and shaymin (mew is from the ranch). I know this is little late but thanks again.
Second, this is a nostalgia trip for myself. You see, I have been making pokemon comics way before RD and the main characters of those comics were those little legendarys (minus shaymin). Mew and celebi were the love-hate couple, just like Vincent and Veruka. And jirachi was the best friend, like Rupert. Of course there were other characters too. If you think RD's 12+2 characters were a lot then it's nothing compared to the older comics where there were over 40 (all based on the pokemon I've trained in red, gold and sapphire. Except mew, celebi and jirachi. Finally I really have them)! Some of them have made comebacks in my recent works (like, Hurley the hitmontop and Trevor the treecko).
But fear not my fighting trio and my dear electric mouse! No one's gonna replace you!

I like how Jirachi's eating a Starbit (LOLXD), Shaymin's ignoring everyone, Celebi's watch amulet thingy, and everyone's expressions in the last panel.

At least Veruka`s not mad at Vincent for once. And I love the best buddy vibe you get from Vincent and Rupert in panel 2. They look like they could kick some serious ass together. I like seeing Veruka with a non-aggressive expression. My brother pointed out Ross and Shaymin`s similar expressions. And Ross`s expression in panel four just melts my heart.
I just can`t stop complimenting your excellent grasp of expression, Behindtg. I think a Pokemon cartoon with your animation style would far outclass the anime both in terms of writing and design. You lend a personality to your pokemon that the anime`s versions lack, thanks to your stylized approach to each and every Pokemon you draw.

Thanks. Animations is what I love the most after comics so there's a chance we'll see Random Doom animations too... But if that will happen it's not now...
And you inspired me. I feel like drawing a picture where Vincent and Rupert are doing a double battle together. Let's see if I can make something out of that.

Reminds me of mine since I started seriously training. It started with 6, became 9 and now is 20+ (you are the one who inspired me to start training, actually ^_^ ). It began to grow in order to meet certain metagame criteria but now it mostly grows because I wanna train a new one.
And I've said it before and now I reiterate; Vincent is expressive!

I could trade you Arceus if you wanted (I got two, a normal one and a shiny one) I got a shiny shaymin to! It's so cute! This comic is funny, Mew is just like Vincent! (or Toque, if that is what the Jirachi is calling him. I never nickname my legendaries)

Yeah, those two are really hard to get legally. And I think that gives you a hint. I'm fine with that because I just want to train them for the fun of it. Never planning to use them on wifi. But I might put little jirachi to use. I just need to come up with a team.

Yeah, they are for pokedex and for the fun of training them. And I can look trades in GTC. But I swear I've never seen shaymin there. No one want's to trade them away.

I might have and explaination for that. When I got my Darkrai and Deoxys in the events, not only did the come in the Cherish ball, but they came with some weird ribbon called the Classic Ribbon. I've heard that you can't trade things with that ribbon over the GTS.
Even though the don't techinically have nicknames, I call my Darkrai Shai'tan, after an evil god from a book series; and my Deoxys Flatwoods, after the alien he resembles.

Ooh! That would explain it. It really annoys me that I've heard you can't use pokemon you get from Hayley from ranch in PBR (at least in masters battle). I was never planning to use mew on wifi since it's considered as uber but now I can't even use it on one player mode? That sucks.

Mew is Toque, Celebi is Dream, Shaymin is Flora ( both named by their old master) and Jirachi is Twinkle. Unfortunately I can't nickname them in game.

Panel 1; all four legendaries look cute. Like little kids, act cute and kind and when they're all away; go sour. Panel 2; shows the over-confidence of Vincent and Rupert. Never jump to conclusions. Panel 3; well I think anyone who has noticed. The 4 legendaries seem to have similar personalities those above them. Celebi matches Veruka, Mew matches Vincent, Jirachi matches Rupert, and Shaymin matches Ross. Panel 4; I can tell it's not going to end too well, if they were told to be watched.
Great job on this. The reactions of the main four in the fourth panel are epic. From what my brother said looking over my shoulder again...

Did you notice that the Pokemon in the first panel (celibi, mew, jirachi, and shayman) kinda of have the same attitude as the Pokemon in the same position as them in the second panel. (infernape, lucario, toxicroak, and raichu) it's hard to explain but if you did it perpusley (cant spell) amazing.
An example would be, mew seems to have the same nonchalant flirtatious way of announcing that celibi is cute as the same way lucario does to inpernape. Another would be that both raichu and shayman appear to be sitting with the same blank, clueless yet cute expression. (1st & 2nd panel)
Though i contradict myself because jirachi and toxicroak don't seem to match except for the fact they are both talking to the person on left of them.
This is a really funny comic by the way, i really like the sparks coming from the energy celibi is charging. And the expressions of every one are just awesome ~
