Edit: Thanks for all the comments and I knew there were going to be some questions. Yes, I realise there's a change (I didn't pay much attension on chemistry/physics classes) that those plates are actually hot because Veruka's a fire pokemon. But I decided to ignore that and all the other logical solutions for the sake of humor.

i think you just answered your own question, you see the way i see it is that, cotton, playing match maker, wanted vincent, playing coward, to go over and talk to veruka about his feelings for her and when he refused she pushed him over to her making him trip, like you've seen in anime and movies? and he rammed into her snout first, (the more you know)
