Here are some FAQ of Random Doom series. Read these before asking anything. If your question is not answered here, feel free to ask it here on comments and I will answer IF I feel it deserves to be answered. This list will be updated when ever needed.

The Comic

What is Random Doom?
Random Doom is a Pokemon comic series created by me where the pokemon are the main stars.

How it all started?
I wanted to do pokemon comics and pokemon diamond and pearl was coming out so I decided to make comics based around those games. Random Doom started as a short joke strip type of comic but evolved into a big ongoing series later as it became more popular.

Why is it called "Random Doom"?
The series started as a short one strip long joke comics which were usually random and most of the time ended up badly. Thus the name "Random Doom". The name itself came from a doodle I drew at school.

How many chapters are there?
Currently I have announced that the main comic series has eight chapters. The older joke series has been quiet some time but it's not canceled.

Where do you get your ideas and how the stories are made?
I don't know where exactly my ideas come but the story process starts with sketches. For example, "For the Love of Luvdisc" started when I had sketched two scenes. One where Cotton finds a dead luvdisc and another where a feraligatr attacks her. I build a story around those scenes.
I draw a sketch (or storyboard version as I like to call it) version of the comic so I get the basic idea how long it will be. When the sketch version is finished, I usually let it rest for a while and see if I get more ideas in the future. It takes at least six months before I really start making the comic.

How the comic is made?
Explaining the whole proses would take long but to put it short:
1. I sketch the page based on the storyboard version and then I redrew it with markers.
2. I scan it.
3. I fix the lineart on photoshop.
4. I add the colors and backrounds.
5. I add shadows and other "effects"
6. Speech bubbles and dialog.

How long does it take to make a page?
I upload two pages in one file and it takes about two days. (The sketch, lineart and base colors on the first day and the rest on second). In hours, about 5 to 10 hours depending how complicated scenes the page has.

Have you ever considered selling this comic?
People have suggested me that but RD is made for fun and I want to keep it free for everyone.

When is the next chapter/page coming out?!
Since I make this comic for fun, I use a LOT of my free time to make it so I would appreciate it if you wouldn't ask this question. There are no fixed time for page updates but I try to do them whenever I have time.

The Characters and Story

Why is most of the main cast 4th Gen pokemon?
The joke series revolved around diamond and pearl thus I decided to feature my main pokemon from the game. Plus, 4gen is my favourite gen so it's also kind of a tribute.

Are the characters based on your pokemon in your game?
Yes, all the Random Doom characters are really in my pearl game. However, their personalities don't always match with the game.

How did you come up with their personalities?
It's the first feeling I get from the character. When I create pokemon characters, the first sketches are the most important. I just draw them and see how the character comes out. Veruka (the infernape) for example, was a serious fighter since the first sketches. It's also important to draw the character with other characters and see how he/she would react to them.

Will [insert your favourite pairing here] end up together?!
I'm not authorized to answer that.

Can I use your characters in fan works?
Yes, you are free to do fan works.

Will you add my character in the comic?
No

How will the new 5th Gen affect your comic?
All the eight chapters are already planned and the 5th gen will not affect them and there are no 5th gen pokemon in the current comic. After that? Even I don't know.
EDIT: Morrigan the zorua has joined the group but she will most likely be the only 5th gen pokemon we will see in this series.

Will there be more than eight chapters?
Honestly, even I don't know that yet. Right now I have a few new story ideas for season two but it could be possible that I'm too tired to continue with this comic by then. We will see then.
