Description Those who check my scrap gallery might remember my nosepass Devo. well, he's now level 100 probopass and he's awesome! He has magnet pull ability even though I would have preferred sturdy... Ohwell, it can create funny situations. Poor Vincent.

A quick doodle I decided to color for fun.

Just like the probopass in my forum game!

Except I didn't make the lucario get stuck to him in the game. Registeel and aggron however...

Laughs ensue.

I think Vincent will start developing a phobia of magnets. And Devo will start developing a phobia of steel-types.

Funnily enough, this would be your second use of the magnet pull joke (remember Magneton?). You have a potential running gag here, as long as it isn`t overused and each use is original. I hate to think of the messes poor Vincent will get into thanks to the steel part of him.

By the way, cute avatar.

Magnet Pull is better than Sturdy, you can create a hell of a pain for those Skarmorys out there.

And nobody uses OHKO attacks anyways they suck.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TamarinFrog In reply to GeoPyro [2008-12-07 11:28:54 +0000 UTC]

except that Devo is not offensive. His job is to set up bunch of stuff and then make room for next pokemon by blowing himself up (and it's not fun to use explosion on steel pokemon). It's risky stragedy but if it pulls of, it's really rewarding. Although I still haven't decided which his fourt move should be, either I'll stick with earthpower or switch to stone edge just because of crobats who like to use taunt or magnet rise to mess up earthquake users.

GeoPyro In reply to TamarinFrog [2008-12-07 15:42:34 +0000 UTC]

Oh, someone sure knows her Pokemans. Yeah I actually don't know Probopass so much, but I should had guessed it's more defensive... and I doubt it can learn any decent electric attacks to deal with a Skarmory anyways.

It's a good estrategy, actually. I have a Torkoal just like that: He sets up Stone Edge, blows away a trap with Rapid Spin, tries to burn the opponent with Lava Plume, then I send him away with a glorious Explosion when he's done of his job. I love utility Pokemans.

Also, it's always good to have a backup attack in a utilithy Poke, so you probably should go for Stone Edge, first because it's stabed, second because of flying and levitate Pokemons.

TamarinFrog In reply to GeoPyro [2008-12-08 15:44:09 +0000 UTC]

True, probopass has amazing devensive stats but it has 4x weakness to fighting and ground attacks so it's not that popular (one reason why I like it is that it's not overused). I'm sure I'll get rid of earthpower and stone edge sounds great just to have one more offensive move.

GeoPyro In reply to TamarinFrog [2008-12-09 01:11:58 +0000 UTC]

Those nuts at GameFreaks think that the ultimate defensive Pokemon is of the rock and steel combination, when they are specially weak against 2 of the most common attacks (Earthquake and Close Combat). Yeah I love Under Used Pokemons, too. I have an Aggron, but I always have a tough time using him in battle...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TamarinFrog In reply to GeoPyro [2008-12-09 14:46:29 +0000 UTC]

True, but as long as those two moves are not around, probopass can take a lott of hits. Ah, aggron. Trained one in sapphire. Good times.

GeoPyro In reply to TamarinFrog [2008-12-09 15:03:09 +0000 UTC]

Ah, well, Lucarios and Togekiss are pretty darn common, and they got Aura Sphere. Also Brick Break is such a common attack, and beware of Gengars and Alakazams with Focus Blast.

TamarinFrog In reply to fuzzy3158 [2008-12-07 11:16:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but you can imagine my face when I was palying the one player mode in PBR and a bastiodon OHKOs Devo with a fissure. Plus, Devo is not meant to be offensive so magnet pull isn't that good (considering that almost all steel pokemon carry earthquake).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fuzzy3158 In reply to TamarinFrog [2008-12-08 10:07:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh definitely, those situations make you go: If only... the only steel types i don't see carrying EQ are magnezone and skarmory and lucario and forretress. Also, consider magnet rise.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TamarinFrog In reply to fuzzy3158 [2008-12-08 15:51:03 +0000 UTC]

Yep, Devo has earthpower but I will surely replace it with either magnet rise or stone edge just because of pesky crobats who like to use taunt. Heh, true. Lucario doesn't normally carry earthqueake... Well, Vincent is not a normal lucario.

RandomGuru [2008-12-06 19:33:10 +0000 UTC]

His magnet pull probably pulled Vincent to him. it is his nose that's magnetic, so...
