Whoa this is great (scuse' the drool) when you read a character in the midst of battle this is what i think comes to mind the longer I look the more details I notice like the flaming arrow that pierced his cracked shield and the subtle detail on his leg awesome! awesome!

everything's cool, but why no one adheres contest theme?

how does this not follow the theme? i mean "preparing for battle" could be interpreted in many ways, it could be literally just putting on your armor or it could literally be smashing 100s of monsters to get more experience and in that sense prepare for the epic boss battle at the end.
