Ember and sapphire elliemont are ten-year-old twin sisters who hail from a big city outside far away from the village. After leta, The twins are the second and third characters to get powers of their own from an unexpected source. The twins found two rings in a box in the woods outside the city, rings that gave them their powers. Ember had the power to control fire while sapphire controlled water.

The two always used their powers for fun or for solving their own problems, with little good results. Their parents found out about this, but they knew their daughters would be happy with their rings, but only if they used them responsibly. The twins never got the message and sometimes bullied others with their powers. They started off as spoiled antagonists at first, but after teaming up with mirabel to stop a villain, they redeemed themselves and vowed to use their powers more respectively.

The two were also based on some extended family concept art for the movie.
