Snow leopard in body, wolf in spirit...I have a little magnet about the totem animal wolf, which contains that phrase "Wolf - Know that you will be protected". I always wanted to do a picture dedicated to my wolf totem, so I finally did it (the characters in the picture are just a snow leopard and a wolf, representing their species, they're no special characters).
You can say, I chose the snow leopard as my furry character,
but the wolf chose me, and will always be there.
It has always been guiding me.
There's quite a lot of details in the picture as it's quite big (which is of course not visible in that little jpg). A large poster print will be available at AnthroCon Art Show.

I feel much the same way. I chose the Fennec fox as my fursona, but I feel much closer to the horse as a spirit animal or totem.

you should make the same pic, only a wolf on the mountain instead of a snow lepaord. No kidding, I LOVE IT!!!!!!! But it could be like a wolves whose loved one died.

Hm, I think the wolf could be my totem animal too. Whenever I hear news about a wolf being killed, it saddens me as if my own brother has died. I love this picture, I can tell it has a nice representation of your totem! The wolf in the sky is so beautiful.

I loved that. I actually believe in the spirits, the magic of the wolves... for my sadness, my home don't are one good place to will have the wolf totem... almost no one here believe...

I love just about everything about this picture. But my favorite is how the clouds near the wolf's mouth give the illusion of it breathing a warm breath into the cold night air. Simply beautiful.

wow your photo evokes so many emotions. it's just beautiful. i currently own a wolf but at one time i had two. thanks to an ignorant neighbor, i was forced to send her away for her own safety sake. if only people realized that wolves are not mean, vicious creatures but rather family oriented and loving and yes, they protect their own with their very lives. your picture definitely tugged at my heart.

I don't think there is really one certain way to find out what your totem animal is. For me, it has always been a special feelings towards wolves, like a special connection to them. I know it probably doesn't sound very helpful, but I just "knew" it.
