Description
Diana was an LNER A2 that was purchased by the Fat Director to help out with the goods work. She was rude and very stuck-up, thinking that no engine can come close to her.
I would often see her complain and grumble to her crew about not being cleaned.
"You better clean every bit of my frames!" she said. "I've been left with a full lot of dirt after that goods train!"
"Have a little sympathy for your crew, Diana." I said, sternly.
"Sympathy? When they neglect an economical engine like me covered in muck, they don't deserve my sympathy!"
I rolled my eyes at this and was just about to give a word when Thomas came in with Henry in tow.
"Oh dear me, what happened to you?" I asked.
Henry, embarrased, sighed glumly.
"I... dropped my fire when started out of the yards."
Diana laughed rudely. "So you're falling apart already, Henry! Whatever will happen to you next?"
"You wouldn't be laughing when you dropped your fire," retorted Henry. "You'd feel embarrased."
"Oh, rubbish!" snorted Diana "I'd keep a straight face and not look like I've lost dignity, if that ever happened to me."
"You'd better keep telling yourself that." muttered Henry.
