Here is Vorret leader of the antagonist group of the upcoming Ryak-Lo spin-off project I will be starting at the start of next year. The side story will be written with Some illustrations throughout.
For now the working name for his group are the Vagabonds. They are a group of people cursed with mutation, failed experiments that have escaped their past and formed their own small community.

This project will sort of be like the anime movies you find for the likes of naruto etc. it will be based somewhere loosely between main Manga arcs and will be self contained. And i'd like to hold a contest that coincides with it

Again like with last years contest it is open to anyone, ANYONE of all skill levels etc. and entries will be judged on many aspects, so don’t feel discouraged from entering.
Okay the ask for this contest is....

*****to design a member of the Vagabonds!*****

Vorret being the leader is set and he needs a team of bad asses to back him up against Kodo and the gang. Because this is a design theme, art will not be a major deciding factor, but design and originality etc. drawings would be preferred but detailed and referenced descriptions will also be accepted.
Design their costume, looks, personality archetype and lastly their mutated form and resulting powers.

This pic is meant as a sort of guide for their theme, they're living rough, so their clothing will reflect this etc. not necessarily scruffy looking but they'd have a more guerrilla sort of feel.
Any area effected by mutation would generally be hidden away until they were ready to fight. Where the scarred area's would be unveiled and mutate into huge hideous living weapons.

I've come up with some ideas for sort of unofficial “classifications” for various mutations to help designs

01 Swooper – has developed wings for flight/gliding
02 Gnawer – have mutated mouth, teeth etc
03 Ripper – have developed claws (light build?)
04 Charger – has developed horns (heavy build?)
05 Mauler – has developed hammer like arms etc
06 Breaker – has defensive mutation. Shielded/armoured skin etc
07 Lasher – use whip like mutations, tenticles, tongue etc
08 Scorcher – project burning or corrosive liquids
09 Spitter – have ability to spit sticky fluid to snare enemies
10 Impaler – developed spear-like projectiles
11 Thinker - has a mutated brain and enhanced intelligence
12 Lurker – mutated into an aquatic form
13 Creeper – developed ability to cling to surfaces, stealth etc
(or your free to think of something else that I might have missed that would suit a mutant character.)

Vorett is classified as a Slasher and such has a sword-like mutation.

**Prizes**
The winner of the contest will have their character actually appear in the story alongside Vorett as his right hand man/woman. Meaning a direct canon involvement with the main cast and events. This character will have the most involvement in the events of the plot over any other of the vagabonds besides Vorett, will be considered the second most powerful/dangerous member and face-off against the main Ryak-Lo cast member of the winners choice (excluding kodo who will primarily be facing Vorett)
1st place will also get a color commission of their choosing from me, either traditionally of digitally colored (Traditional commissions can also have the original marker colored pic posted to them)

2nd place will have their character appear in the events of the plot (though to a slightly lesser degree of involvement to 1st place) be able to choose their characters opponent and receive a black and white commission which can also be sent via post if requested.

3rd place again will have their character featured to a slightly lesser degree and be able to choose his/her opponent and receive a sketch-grade commission.

((I may also choose to include any number of runner-up character into the story with minor plot involvement))

all characters that appear in the story will also appear in any promotional pics I do for the story featuring the vagabonds as well as appearing throughout the illustrations with each chapter of the story itself.

Dont hesitate to ask if you need more info, remember Vorett is an example, you can be as creative or wacky as you want. Mutated area's can go really OTT if u want. The more resident evil'y dead spacey, hellraisering, cursedsealy, the better.

*Deadline*
I know leading into this time of year can be a little awkward with the holidays etc and had life allowed Id have liked to have got this contest idea out earlier in the year, so the dealine is not set, but at an estimate at the moment lets say mid january. So a good fair few weeks. This will be updated in the future.

i will also allow a max of three entires per person, so if you have more than one idea, get em all out there
