Here's a little guy I did for Imagine FX, some of you have seen it some may not have.
I painted this fairly quickly and really didn't have a chance to go deep into the story behind this character.
Basically he is called "The Purifier" and thats exactly what he does to your soul. No matter what you have done in the past good or bad he cleanses your soul through pain and eventually death, however once this happens your soul is rebooted from a clean slate. This does not prevent you from going to either hell or heaven it just prepares you for either.

Also after looking at this image recently I realized "dammmmnn" this thing on his back feels so heavy yet he is carrying it as if it's been a part of him since the beginning.
Sometimes as artist and professionals we have so much riding on our backs family, goals, dreams, in-securities, clients, etc. some of these things we carry are blessings some burdens. It sometimes feels so overwhelming, but we keep pushing, always trying to out do ourselves or re-invent ourselves. I don't think we ever become truly masters of our art we only become masters of our own demons. We all know those demons they come in all forms..ego,self doubt, procrastination are usually the main three that linger around poking you in the ribs any chance they have.
