*a tiny girl lies on the ground unconscious in a burned down village, her face covered in soot.

Okay.
Bruce was taking a stroll through the woods one foggy afternoon. His loud footsteps thumped the soil and his breathing was even. The huge man was about to head into a clearing when something caught his eye. He curiously approached what appeared to be a small pile of fabric. As he neared, though, he discovered that it was in fact a little girl! She looked worn and hurt, tugging on the huge man's heartstrings. The giant then reached down and scooped the small child up into his mighty arms and cradled her to his hogshead chest.
"Poor little thing... Let's get you cleaned up." his deep voice rumbled softly as he carried her to his cabin.

The girl was small with long brown hair that was almost completely black from the soot. She had several burns on her left arm and legs. She stayed unconscious for several hours before waking up with a gasp for air, rather than a gasp of surprise. She looked around at her surroundings and she started to quiver, seeing that it was unfamiliar. Suddenly th memories of her burned village flowed back all at once and she started sobbing uncontrollably.

Bruce was reading a book in the other room when he heard tiny sobs from his bedroom. He rose from his chair and set his book down, removing his reading glasses as well. The giant made it to his room in a few strides and poked his scruffy head into the doorway.
"Well I see you're finally awake." he chuckled, folding his heavily muscled arms over his chest.

The little girl gasped hearing the loud thuds of his feet. She shook scared and gasped when he appeared in the door way. She covered her face scared pretending she wasnt there, like her mom usd to tell her to do if she got scared when sleeping.

Bruce smiled gently and approached the little girl slowly, as not to startle her. He stopped at the edge of the bed closest to her and gazed curiosly at her. He raised one thick eyebrow when he saw her look up at him. His immense figure loomed several feet over her, adding to his already frightening appearance.

She shock scared, "W-who are you... w-why are you so b-big?" She whimpered curling into a ball looking up at him, her lip quivering and her eyes, red from sobbing.

The giant's big gray eyes softened and he stooped down to be closer to her.
"Don't be afraid, little one. My name is Bruce. I'm the lord of this forest. I saw you were hurt and brought you here." he told her. His steely gray eyes then turned to the child's wounds. "I'm going to have to take care of those..." he murmured. "Could you please come closer? I need to see where you are hurt." The huge man, however, was disheartened at the sight of her cowering away from him.

The little girl whimpere as he got closer. "A-are you going to hurt me?" She whimpered looking at her bad burns. She tightly shut her eyes as she pocked her burns curious about them for the wrong. "O-ow..." it made her shake more feeling the pain of the burns.

Bruce shook his head great head.
"Of course not. I want to help you." the giant's deep voice rumbled. His huge burly hands then reached towards the child slowly. His enormous paws were nearly as long as she was and were purely muscle and sinew. His skin looked course and rough from years of living in the forest and had patches of dirt and grime. Such hands could easily destroy a life without thought.

She gasped looking at his... >.> iccy hands.. that could kill her with one flex of the fist. She backed away and his her face in her arms. "P-p-pleassse" she whimpers scared of not only being hurt but being touched by such hands.

Bruce sighed and eased one of his gigantic hands on her uninjured shoulder. The skin on his mitts was tough and leathery, but they were also surprisingly soft and incredibly gentle.
"Sshh... It's okay." he whispered. His mass then leaned on the bed, making the mattress dip under his weight.

She gasped shaking like a leaf when he placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him wide eyed. When he leaned on the bed she leaned with its dip. She yelped softly looking up at him bitting her lip. "I-i..."

Bruce gazed at the little girl sympathetically.
"Please. Let me help you." he said gently. The giant's mighty hand then started gently carressing the girl's shoulder. One of his fingers were as big around as her arm. His heavily built body was settled merely a few feet from where she was, his bulk filled her peripheral vision.

The little girl looked up at him with big big brown eyes and nodded. He seemed very gentle to her... Maybe he really could help her... "O-ok... M-my name is Jeanah..."

The huge man smiled a fanged grin and chuckled.
"That's a beautiful name...." he said softly. He then shifted his huge mass up so that he was seated on the bed. "Could you please sit here so I can tend your wounds?" he asked, patting his lap.

Jeanah blushed. "T-thank you..." She looked at him shyly as she crept onto his lap sitting down on his leg. "Will it sting? i dont really like the stingy feeling..." she scratched her hand nervously.

"Only a little." he said, dabbing his finger in an ointment and coating her burns with it. While he tended to the painful burns, he also stroked her hair with one enormous hand. She was so small!

She eeped as he applied the stingy ointment. She sighed when he stroked her hair she looked down. "Thank you Mr Bruce..." she watched him tend to her burns.

"You're welcome." he said. When he was done, he let his guest lay in his lap. "Now that that's settled, what are you doing in my forest? Shouldn't you be home with your family?" he asked with a suddenly serious tone. There were many dangers in his forest and she could have died out there.

Jeanah whimpered as she remembered what happened to her family and village. I could practically be seen in her eyes, the fire burning through the village. She suddenly teared up and sobbed into her hands.

Bruce leaned in and gave her a curious look.
"What's wrong? What happened?" he asked, lifting the girl to his giant chest. It broke his heart to see such a helpless child so upset.

The girl turned and cried into his chest. "My village burned down and i was the only one left!" she sobed loudly coughing, her little nose running with tears.

The little girl's words shattered the giant's heart. He pulled her close to him.
"Poor thing..." Despite the huge man's ferocious exterior, he was just a big softy.

Jeanah cried into his chest for a long while, until her tears ran out. She coughed and wiped her face in her sleeve. "Im all alone now and i dont know what to do... my mama told me i had to run, but i was too hurt and i fell.. she told me to run and i fell." she whimpered again.

Bruce hushed her gently and dried her tears with the end of his shirt.
"You're not alone." he told her in a deep, rumbling voice. "I'm here, aren't I?" The giant pet her head again. "I live alone out here and I've always wanted to take care of someone else. And you're here with no parents. We could stay together." he said hopefully.

She looked up at him a bit surprised. "You? You would take care of me?" She blinked her red watery eyes.

Bruce smiled and nodded.
"Yes. I want you to stay here with me. I'll feed you, protect you, and give you shelter." he said in a gentle voice.

She slowly started to smile. "T-thank you!" She hugged his chest best she could with her little arms, several whimpers left her mouth, for she was still thinking of her parents and village, but now she has a new home.

Bruce held her to his broad front and chuckled. A loud growl then suddenly came from his stomach, making Jeanah back away a bit.
"Oh! Sorry... I suppose it is time for me to make us something to eat."

Jeanah looked at his tummy wide eyed then up at him. "Yeah food would be nice eheh..." she said shyly.

Bruce laid the little girl on his bed and tucked her under the covers.
"While I make us some dinner, I want you to rest." he told her. His mass then rose off the bed and towered over her tiny form. The giant's big boots thumped out the doorway as he headed to the kitchen to cook.
