After I took my daily 5 hour nap, I woke up, and instantly I saw this image in my head and quickly drew it out before it faded. Really, this is the first time a picture came out almost exactly as I intended, even though it's just a rough sketch thing
When I saw the first photos that were taken as advertisements and sneak peaks, there were panels that showed Ulquiorra starting to be enveloped in something, and so one of the first things I thought was that Aizen was somewhere in there and used the Hokyouku to transform him into an arrancar. (but now I see I'm totally wrong lol) Actually is was Ulquiorra who came across a sight that fascinated him among the great void of heuco mundo, and he decided to envelope himself in this giant tree, which as he goes in, begins tearing off his outer mask/shell.
I tell you, this whole 'unmasked' backstory of Ulquiorra is too much for me!! I started crying when I saw the first pics of him emerge in this hollow form, there is so much I want to know.
And beyond that, realizing that this is his past...really sort of vindicates his death Because as most know, when a character dies there always tends to be to a flashback for them...at least for the more prominent characters...so this will probably be it for Ulquiorra It makes me really happy though that Tite Kubo did this for him. Hah, I already bought the book on amazon since I'm to impatient to wait 3 years for it to be sold in America, the fun part will be trying to translate it on my own; sheesh, why does Japanese have to be such a hard language to learn? ]:< But I'll probably just read what they have online. Thank goodness for our Japanese pals...always sharing their stuff with us xD
