This page is so visually striking with the image of the fire tunnel, the air parting for them to allow them an escape and holding back the whirling destruction all around. There's such a terrible optimism in Nima's dialogue, especially "They're alive!" because he seems so shocked and almost hopeful and you know those men don't have much time to live and Nima and Tashi might well get to see it as the fire tunnel falters and dies around/behind them. And again, we have the masters sacrificing themselves in the hopes of getting others to safety, which is heartbreaking. (Also I think I see Yongten's burned shoulder in there, but I could be mistaken.)
