In the confusion the pred plucked a tiny neko from the forest floor and held her firmly in front of her eyes to admire her catch.

though this time her prey had a perplexing nervous smile and seemed to be looking over her shoulder. Never the less she would have her prey she opened her mouth to accept the little oddball morsel.

"Oh... No sweety... You really don't want to do that..." the neko says in an unintentionally patronizing voice

The pred chuckles at the absurdity of the situation "oh i really think I do..." grinning dominantly to instill an understanding of fear into the pretty little neko

The neko cringed awkwardly uneffected by the preds menacing demeanor, "you really can just put me down and we'll get you something to eat, it won't be nearly as good looking as me... or as alive... But I've heard giant rations aren't too bad..."

The pred pouts frustrated by the seemingly fearless neko, "I've had enough of thi..."

A series of quick stomps causes the Pred to pause mid sentence, "what is...!?!"

The savage looking blazen haired, fur clad, giantess commander, "Morai" violently explodes out from the dense forest

The confused pred can only look to her prey for a second before being knocked out flat by the berserk giant

"I told you sooooo!"

While the CVRC has some surprisingly lenient policies regarding sapient predators and non personnel civilians ( www.deviantart.com/tastysnack/… ), Attitudes toward predators attacking "active on duty personnel" differ immensely

While it is true their are occasions where personnel losses "must" be accepted ( www.deviantart.com/tastysnack/… ) to avoid further losses and ultimately collect a win with reduced casualties... More often then not, a large sapient predator (pred as the slang goes) attacking active personnel "is to be put an end to swiftly" The situation is to be treated as out of hand and any waiting "giant personnel are to snap into action and retrieve said personnel, or prevent further losses of personnel by whatever means is appropriate to the situation.

CVRC tries to avoid violence and nurture relations between sapient species, but on top of the high costs to train them, All Rangers of the CVRC have given their time, effort and potential lives to save others in every way they can, They are our precious protected asset and deserve that level of protection

All deaths (including non personnel and sapient predator) are to be recorded by an officer, or assigned record keeper, use of lethal force under duress is subject to investigation. If not to prevent any perceivable misdoing, to understand how it could be avoided in the future.
