Guess who FINALLY finished her Jedi sona?!This literally took me months because of procrastination and little confidence in my human(oid) abilities. But I finally did it! I hope you guys like her as much as I do :3
Enjoy some short/long bio! I apologize for how brief it might seem.
Taura is a female Twi'lek from Ryloth. As a child, she was very strong with the force, attracting the attention of the Jedi council. She was brought in as a youngling when she came of age and trained for many years under elder Jedi masters. Taura waited very patiently for a master to appoint her a padawan, unlike many of her youngling friends who couldn't wait to start training under a Jedi master. They didn't really understand her relaxed approach and willingness to remain a youngling for as long as possible. They were especially shocked when she was one of the first of her friend group to become a padawan.
A Jedi master named Kearas Chalbeau noted her unique force sensitivity from afar and found her curious for a long while. He asked many questions about her, but hadn't taken action to make her his apprentice. After a fellow master suggested to him that he should take Taura under his wing, he finally caved and requested Taura as his padawan. Taura was both ecstatic and extremely nervous. She became his padawan a few years before the Clone Wars began.
Kearas was almost immediately appointed to a clone troop and sent into war as soon as he was prepared to fight. Taura begged to join him, where they could continue her training and she could help the people they would be fighting for, but he hesitated. She stayed at the Jedi temple under the protection of the Jedi council until Kearas felt comfortable with letting her join the battle. Taura could tell things weren't right, and she was anxiously waiting to join her master again. She was told again and again to keep her emotions in check, which became a valuable lesson to her once she did join the fight.
Several months had passed before Taura was allowed to join Kearas and his clone troop. The clones welcomed her with open arms and vowed to keep her safe on the battlefield (at Kearas's request, although they were willing to do it anyways). They were quickly deployed on their next mission, and Taura's first experience of war. Kearas kept her on board the ship where she stayed with the admiral and clone commanders. She was grateful to at least be with Kearas again, but she still wished to be where the action was.
The mission was an unfortunate failure and many clone troopers had died after many days of fighting. Kearas ordered a retreat and rushed the injured back to the ship before jumping into hyperspace. Among them was an ARC trooper named CT-2519, or "Craft" as he was known, who Taura noticed had a lot of attention on him as he was rushed in for medical help. She asked Kearas to go see what was going on, and he allowed her to go.
Craft was unconscious and receiving lots of medical attention when Taura had arrived. She wanted to help, but she was told to stand by. She watched as the clone's shot wounds were treated, and she was reassured that he would be okay as his condition became stable. She stayed with him as he recovered, asking other clone troopers nearby about who he was and what had happened on the battlefield. Craft was surprised to awake to a curious child watching him. Taura introduced herself and told him that she was making sure he was okay, in which he was flattered. He introduced himself to her, and thus their friendship began.
During Craft's recovery, he took over watching Taura during the next couple of battles, even after he was considered well enough to fight again. When Kearas wasn't training Taura, Craft "secretly" gave Taura blaster lessons and tips and tricks to help prepare her for the war. She had gotten very close to him during this time, as well as the rest of the clones in their troop. Kearas was confused as to how Taura became close with the clones so quickly, but it all made sense when Craft and Taura tried to convince him to bring her to fight. He fessed up to training Taura in their spare time, so Kearas asked to see how well her skills were in combat. He was surprised at how far she'd come in a rather short amount of time, and reluctantly brought her to their next battle.
The rest of the Clone Wars grew Taura in many ways. She grew into a strong teenager, proving to be an impressive warrior and soon-to-be great Jedi. She and her master Kearas grew very close to the point of willing to lay down their lives for one another. Taura also grew very close with Craft. They were almost never seen apart from each other on the battlefield unless the strategy called for it. Craft had also become a captain by the end of the Clone Wars. A few months before it ended, Taura had been made aware that her padawan training was nearing completion, but that she still had a ways to go. Her determination to become a Jedi knight grew stronger every day, and with every battle she proved that she was worthy of more intense training.
They had just finished liberating the lush planet of Sokof when the clones betrayed the Jedi. Taura had felt off the entire fight, and was even requested to leave the battlefield in fear of her being hurt or killed. Once the battle was over, she quickly celebrated with her fellow clones before she was pulled aside by her master. He was now feeling a great darkness rise in the force, and Taura nearly fainted from the dark side's presence. Kearas told her to run and leave the planet as soon as possible when blaster shots were fired in their direction. Taura was hit in the face and on one of her tendrils before she fled. She was confused and scared, realizing she was being chased by her brothers in battle. She made it to a nearby village where she warned the villagers of what was happening. She was given a ship and she barely escaped the planet. Once in hyperspace, she was flooded with grief and cried for a long time.
Taura had been floating in space in the outer rim for many days, even weeks, trying to survive off what little the ship provided. She was beginning to starve as her food portions grew smaller and smaller. She periodically went unconscious, and she was convinced that she was going to die. While she was unconscious, some bounty hunters had picked her up and taken her in. She was reserved and quiet from her trauma. To her surprise, the bounty hunters were very gracious to her and offered to take her back to her home. She asked them to take her to Ryloth, where she prayed her parents were still alive. They made contact and brought her back to her childhood home. Before she got off, she asked them why they were so nice to her. They said they had heard about what happened to the Jedi, and assumed she was one of the few remaining alive. It was the right thing to do.
Taura spent the next several years working with her parents on Ryloth. She had hidden away everything about her past, adopting a new identity, nearly severing her relationship with the force. It wasn't until the force called her away to a familiar planet that she had to reconnect with her past again...

Other facts:
Taura's connection to the force is more spiritual than it is physical. Unlike how many Jedi use the force for physically overpowering their opponent, especially during the Clone Wars, Taura naturally was able to use abilities like force echo and to see visions of the past and future. She was still able to use the force like other Jedi, but it didn't come as easily for her. This was why she was able to feel the darkness of Order 66 so easily, and why Kearas was interested in her in the first place.
During her trial on Ilum, she had to overcome her fear of failing. She came out of the caves feeling more confident in her abilities, especially after safely securing her kyber crystal.
As she grew older on Ryloth, Taura found herself to be naturally skilled at using a staff. This is now her primary weapon. She also carries a blaster on her at all times. She will only use her lightsaber if absolutely necessary.
The force eventually called Taura back to Sokof where she found a small burial for her old master, along with his lightsaber still in decent condition. Her current double-sided lightsaber was made using her old lightsaber and Kearas's. She also found some old clone trooper armor that she repainted and wears all the time. She doesn't wear her helmet often. She also reconnected with an old friend on Sokof ;3
Taura had been traveling around the galaxy with her old friend when they heard rumors of several small rebellions popping up, fighting against the Empire. Among these rumors were speak of a former Jedi fighting with them. It took her a while before she was convinced of joining their ranks. She revealed herself to be a former padawan to a small handful of rebels she became close to during that time. Only when her identity could be kept secret did she use her lightsaber in combat.
While traveling before her time in the Rebellion, Taura had reconnected with the force and was on her way to being stronger than she was as a padawan.

I'll be making refs for Kearas and Craft soon, as well as a design for what Taura looked like as a padawan! I'm very excited to have her as a sona now!
