Underneath the cloak of night, Perry could escape the vigilant eyes of Vektren. She set a fevered pace and allowed her nose to guide her through the heavy thickets of the Forlorn Garden. The night air once again filled her lungs and she reveled in the feeling of the the wind through her fur. Alone with her internal musings she shed her diplomatic mask, the one she dawned to validate her allegiance to the cultists. She had grown increasingly anxious as of late. Klaus had revealed himself to be nothing more than another one of Hekate’s pawns. And Lykos, the wolf who had shown her down the noble path of Vektren’s elite Vipers, had vanished. With every passing day she felt her sanity crumble. Never had she felt so plague with insecurity. In her youth, she had always been instructed on what to do. How she craved to return to a time of child naivety, when the world was believed to be much less complicated.
