His poised disposition fell away as Shardae leaned in to embrace him. He closed his eyes and allowed her familiar warmth to soothe his restless mind. There was nothing he could say to show her how he felt. He had not the words to express himself. He could only offer her the one thing he had to give: his loyalty.“I will always be here,” He whispered to her gently, “No matter what, I will always protect you.”

Beautiful! The entire scene feels gentle and warm, while remaining very simplistic. Mo's development has been so fun to watch so far, and it's so sweet to see how his relationship with Shardae has changed as he's gotten older.

Edit: I love sibling-like relationships between royalty and "peasantry", if that even makes sense lol. It's even better here since Shar is so tiny compared to Mo, but she's such a big sis to him<3
