Begs the question: if they trash the house, how the hell does Ash explain this to the poor sap working his insurance claim?
Wait, let's assume Ash is back at his mother's house (we're a fedora, a trench coat, and bad facial hair away from a stereotype), how the hell did he explain to his mother why Mew and Mewtwo followed him home?
And what sane parent would let their 10-year-old run off like that, play with incredibly dangerous creatures, and then bring home what may as well be a legitimate deity and his/her angry clone?
I'm reading too far into this. But, the point stands, these are good questions to ask.
