they've always used masculine pronouns for pikachu. for that attract thing, i think you may have gotten that wrong, as in 'Where no Togepi has gone before', a female togepi tried using attract and it worked. also, it was Ash's Pidove that attract didnt work on, most of ash's other pokemon (including pikachu) fell victim to Snivy's attract.

I understand, but I’ve had people in real life who love Pokémon and Pikachu and all of that, that have even referred to Pikachu, specifically Ash’s, as female. I’m not saying Pikachu ISN’T a male lol I’ve just said that I’ve always referred to them as female. Worldwide people either have no clue what their gender is or refer to them as male. I’m just expressing my take on it lol. But I definitely understand, I just want someone be open minded on my take as well!

I even stated previously that I know they’re referred to as a male and that I understand. an opinion would imply that there is no cited, known info that can be given so free reign on headcanon is good to go. but there is HARD evidence that has confirmed Ash's Pikachu as male for years. there is no arguing against it when a simple google search will give multiple answers of 'Ash's Pikachu is male'. No one has ever referred to it as female in the show ever (except when it had to disguise as a female in one episode) so your opinion is factually wrong, and saying otherwise is just being ignorant, and i HATE willful ignorance.

Well technically Ash’s Pikachu was a female. But I get that she’s famously known and more so accepted as a male because she/he is a male in other things.

I’ve read about that, but they’ve also talked about how Ash’s Pika was a female too. I didn’t pull the info out of my booty haha “ Ash's Pikachu is female because in one episode of Pokemon Black and White a female Pokemon used attract on Pikachu, but it doesn't work.” Yes, globally I see Pikachu as a male as most do, but I tend to call them she, I just see them more feminine.
