The other night I was plagued by a string of nightmares the culmination of which was my friends and I going to a very sketchy arcade whose only working feature was a line of seriously outdated gatchapon machines, each of which had 2 different properties in the machine.

I tried to get Little Creature Man or one of his friends, that being the only show that I had seen, but instead pulled a figurine of 当 Maria 当 (for those of you who do not speak Chinese, that's pronounced "dāng") a "confused" vampire assassin/boarding school teacher from an obscure show with a very unfortunate name whose rating on My Anime List wasn't even a number it was literally just the word trash.

But, pulling her made me feel better, like if anything cursed followed me home she would protect me. I'm very grateful to her, because I had genuinely been having a really bad night. So I wanted to put her out into the universe so that maybe she can also protect other people's dreams if they need her.

Also I'm low-key obsessed because, after all, this is the obscure B-tier anime character my brain made up for me. My roommate and I have been coming up with lore for her and the show in general.
