Description
We are the old food of deathBodies long ago eaten by time
Souls past departed
Sepulchered for months in dust
Giving new like to fungi
Then blossoms of green
Recycled
Turned, exposed to the elements
Now lying on old stone beds
A home for none crumbling around us
Letting life restake its claim
On what we took and tried to hide
Ghosts on pedestals in silk and marble
Dressed-up garden fodder
Now ivory bones in dress of webs
