A small figurine stood amidst the sunken ruins of their ancestors. Its head tilted up and eyes focused forward, one arm gracefully reaching up as if to pluck a ripening fruit, the other extending as far back ready to lift up in flight. But its legs were what drew their attention, such a cumbersome and ungainly pair of limbs from a bygone era compared to the augmented and elegant tails of their contemporaries. Yet they admired how the figure held itself up, perfectly supported on one leg down to a single point, the other extending behind and held straight. The entire pose held firm yet graceful as a bird's wings in a glide, a triumphant smile etched upon her beautiful face.
