Description "Now I'm saying stop a second time."

Moral: Do not taunt semi-crazed inventor with a background in "The Institute".

Weapons:

2x Shoulder mounted semi-autonomous chain "tape buddy" launchers capable of a dozen launches per second each. Self aiming & auto-fire capable.

2x Hand held "Delta Latex" sprayers capable of pressurized output of close to 500 PSI, with continuous fire time of 10 minutes. Note the "bottles" are not ammo, but pressure containers, the liquid is pressurized air.

1x Portable anti-grav "Delta Latex" manufacture plant with energy/kinetic reflective force field (covers the wearer as well).

1x Pissed off security girl who's tired of getting no respect.

Lessons learned - Those guns were a real challenge to get "just right". They aren't perfect, but they were as close as I could get. I originally envisioned larger rifles (Literally being under the arm mounted mortar launchers), but she was too close to the "camera" for that to work as intended.

DOes the phrase "You have 20 seconds to comply" ring any bells. On a professional note, her feet kind of look like they're turned in a tad too much. Probably wouldn't be to comfortable to stand that way for long let alone giving her a stable shot. Nice picture though, I'm just glad she's using less than lethal rounds.

The feet ran off the bottom of the page, so I'll admit I didn't concentrate on their angle much, I just made it enough to see the heel there in the back.

And also remember, she's the INVENTOR of the nanite-based Delta Latex too. She she has toys that she never got to use in the Institute that she invented in her own time and since it's closing. Allow me to simply say....

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

we-r-nomad In reply to TCPolecat7 [2010-02-09 22:08:27 +0000 UTC]

Oh yea, nanite based latex.

That reminds me, I theorized that the latex and the tape would "stick" to their wearer's bodies by use of nano-scopic grippers lining the surface of the fabric. The grippers would simply latch onto any and all appropriately protruding molecular surfaces forming a bond that is unbreakable unless they are signaled otherwise.

And Tasha would already know this. It seems another reason to hold her is to keep her knowledge from falling into AMAZON hands.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to we-r-nomad [2010-02-09 22:11:08 +0000 UTC]

Not only would she know, this, the Delta Latex works similarly, thus had very similar properties. In short, she not only knows it, but has invented a variant of her own completely independant of the FMP.

Yeah, how "dangerous" she is to them just jumped up by several degrees. O.o

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to TehGodMan [2010-02-09 23:32:11 +0000 UTC]

In a sense, yes. "Delta Latex" is an invention Tasha came up with in the Chainsman Institute, a purely technological version of the popular Beta Latex invented by Sebastian Blackcat. This version was comprised entirely of nanites, which use dirt, clothes, anything that's not the individual victim (tho they like body hair, so they give a REALLY close shave) as fuel and materials to build more. In default mode they literally mummify the victim, but with a proper control remote, they can be commanded to form any color or style desired... in latex of course.

TCPolecat7 In reply to we-r-nomad [2010-02-09 21:46:34 +0000 UTC]

Only one problem. The fear-chip might actually INDUCE this sort of response. Of course, that's what the constant level of restraint is designed to prevent. I'd highly recommend your bots not let that up, or she may indeed break out the heavy artillery....

Ooh, hoist on our own Picard.

With all the Seekers and such around on FMP this is just the sort of thing she'd make. (Lovin' the shoulder guns BTW! Going to have to mount something similar on FMP mobile armor at some point.)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to we-r-nomad [2010-02-09 22:09:42 +0000 UTC]

If you can manage the shoulder mounts, go for it. They were a perspective nightmare getting those "flat" openings instead of a traditional chain-gun look.

And yeah, if she was scared/motivated enough, that strikes me as the sort of thing she could cobble together. But somehow I think the Seekers would be screaming bloody murder before she ever finished, bringing the hoarde down on her head if she wasn't fast enough. Of course that would just lead to heavier restraints.... hrm, maybe that ISN'T as bad a thing as we thought. More, the FMP might find use in her designs... maybe they let her "try" to escape every now and again just so they can "steal" the designs she devises when she makes the attempts?

we-r-nomad In reply to TCPolecat7 [2010-02-09 23:11:24 +0000 UTC]

Sure, they just decrease her levels of panic, so she is afraid, but with her wits about her. Then when she's invented something of use, and successfully field tested it, the 'bots would simply turn off her chip, and she'd come along willingly, following her custodian bears back to her room to be bound back up.

This would leave the inventions for the robots to reverse engineer.

Of course, knowing Tasha in her escape-mode, she'd probably etch into the critical components of her weapons, a binary code that would cause any robot reading it to shut down, unless the invention is first registered in the intergalactic patent office under her name.

Girl's gotta get paid after all.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TCPolecat7 In reply to we-r-nomad [2010-02-09 23:27:28 +0000 UTC]

Or she'd make an agreement for such a thing when they turned the chip off. Just turning it off wouldn't stop her if she's all loaded up for bear (if you'll pardon the pun). Or a longstanding agreement after the first time it happened that she's registered as the creator in the patent office, with licensing and reproduction rights allowed to the FMP....

And that gives an odd idea. One of those bears as a sort of "custodian" for Tasha. The one in a sort of "in charge" position to ensure she doesn't get out of hand, and is occasionally "encouraged" to make a break for it to keep her from getting too complacent...

Plus the idea of one of those bears leading her away on a leash is too priceless a mental image.

Great minds think alike. I love the idea of the bears leading girls around on leashes.

The lead custodian would probably hate "that time of the month" when it has to encourage insurrection in Tasha. I could see it approaching as she sat in front of her dresser bound just painfully enough, staring at her broadly gagged face as the other bears mill about her like cherubs, styling her newly acquired beautiful hair.

Catching the look of contentment in Tasha's eyes, the head custodian would look down at the chip in his hand and sigh.

Wow, that's a pretty powerful scene you've outlined. Very vivid in the mind's eye to boot. I will note that it makes for an odd thought that it seemed like the bots have enough emotions to actually start caring for/about their charges as well. I wonder if the bears can show more facial emotions then others. They seem to have the appearance for it...

That could be a plot hook actually. What happens when a bot becomes too attached to his charge? Would it try to steal away with her purely for itself? Would it try and make her happy, even if against regulations, and potentially it's own programming? Would it go so far as to free a girl it came to genuinely care for? That's a big can of worms there....

One way or another the bots will have the maids cleaning it up before it makes TOO big a mess....
