Description
NEW NOTICE (July 9, 2021): We now have an official rough sketch of the DDLC! Main Character, as seen in the Art Gallery of DDLC Plus! With that said, if I were to resume the mod version of my Re:Literature Club! The Doki Doki Virus fan project, I would be using this sprite pack for my mod, bundled by StormBlazed76. This means that I can now scrap my facial depiction of the MC.Finally another drawing after a month (4 months since my last DDLC! drawing). I drew my interpretation of the Doki Doki Literature Club! main character (or MC). Since I plan on having an additional, unnamed main character in a project I'm working on, he is referred to as Main Character 1 or MC1 in my project (my project is the icon on the top right).
Author Notes
I made some tweaks to his facial and head design since my Valentine's Day special and I'm more happier with this new look. (This took me two days to draw.) On the middle, he is wearing his school uniform: Brown blazer, a red tie (I imagine), blue pants (I imagine), and blue-tipped uwabaki (I was also thinking red but I wonder if the uwabaki colors would mean anything in the DDLC high school). On the left, he is wearing his "casual clothes" (the same black shirt as shown in the Sayori Hugging CG but I gave him blue jeans and sneakers). And yes, I gave him red eyes due to the color eye theory within the DDLC logo in which all colors besides red were the girls' eyes.
Drawing him was a mess because I also plan on making sprites for him (MAYBE, SOMEDAY, EVENTUALLY?) once I do the mod version of my DDLC! fan project (I'm first writing one as a scripted fan fiction ) and he's going to have A LOOOT of different poses/expressions, which will be a nightmare to do. I couldn't draw my interpretation of the MC alone (I'm. I used many references like Cylent-Nite 's MC Sprite for height reference (his version's sprite was just tall enough when I compared his sprite to Yuri's in-game sprite). I looked up on drawing jeans and no matter how many times I draw clothing, I still suck at what folds I should use and I still feel meh at shading. And I made a doll in DesignDoll for further height reference. And I looked at some male Corpse Party characters for feet (I still think I made MC's feet too short even after stretching them).
I made a variation of nadzarki's DOCI Reference Template specifically for the project I'm working on to include my project logo and new info bars.
UPDATE #1 (September 23, 2018, 12:21 p.m. EDT): Looking at the school uniform again for each character, I now noticed that I had the buttons on the wrong side of the blazer. Also, I added another hairpiece to the chibi version. And on an unrelated note, I wonder what happened to Nardzarki and the DOCI community. The DOCI Discord server also shut down.

Thanks. Now if only if I wasn't too lazy enough to finish my DDLC project.

The average Japanese man's height is apparently 5'7" (and Japanese women are 5'2" at average) but I didn't want to make him too tall compared to his size in the game.
Japanese people are kind of short.

Might be true. As a 1.87 guy I may be overreacting for it. Nice work tho.
