Buying little cottages
By the ocean
Where
The waves
Rocked them to sleep
With their effervescent
Pitter-patter
Against the
Dark, gentle sand.
They buried themselves
In pure delight
And wallowed
In the strength
Of their unbridled youth
They pulled dreams
Out of thin air
And created
Their own special places.
