Description
This is the final version of the butterfly image I have been working on. It was inked first in traditional dip pen style. Then scanned into the computer to color the image and ensure the original was undamaged. The idea behind this work has changed in my mind. But to me it reminds me of childhood dreams being simple and pure. The butterfly represents this time and the spiderweb and chains are the things that happen latter in our lives that may imprison our dreams or even at times kill them all together. I think this colored version makes the image seem less flat and it really pops nicely now.
