As much as I've been bitching about this place, I find myself posting here again, at least until I finally get around to coding my own webpage. This is another work in progress, pure practice -- there will be some supernatural elements in this later on (meaning as soon as I've decided where I want this image to go, exactly).Done with minimal reference. I'm still trying to get the hang of hair, eyes, skin tones... everything I'm so woefully imperfect at. The original is more than twice this size and might get even larger once I know what I'm trying to do with him.
Anyway -- his name is Sin, he's a demon, and he likes books more than everything else in the world. He will never lose his passion for books, but he will go on to become a cool and calculating interstellar mogul. However, in this pic he's still young and foolish and desperately trying to live up to his name -- and his father's example. [Belongs to the Black Label universe]

Its beautiful! I love how made his face a slightly lighter shade than his neck! It gives him an alost highlighted look of the supernatural! Its very well done! I like it very much.

Reckless mischieviousness and vulnerability. Thats what I see in this pic, its absolutely captivating, the kind of eyes I could stare into for ages. Beautiful job. I see no problem with skin tone. Hair is also very well done in my opinion, it looks soft and has depth. Better than I ccan do any day lol

Wonderful picture, really. The emotion is wonderful and in his expression.... wow. The eyes are so full of ... emotions! XD; Sorry. My vocab isn't large at the moment. Never the less, lovely picture, amazing realism, it's not just a peice of art here. Do keep up with the wonderful work!

That is too gorgeous. The softness blended in with the details really makes this stand out to me, even if it is only a WIP. It's just amazing, the skills some people have! His eyes hold so much soul, and the colors you used are wonderful. Perfect.

Imperfect?! Ha! Laughable, truly. It looks awesome. Even with the partially blank spots towards the edges, I would never have taken it as a WIP. Put bluntly: it's beautiful, he's beautiful, and you're an awesome artist. Keep it up!

He seems so innocent until you look at his eyes, and the expression there.
I think its really interesting that the picture as a whole is really bright and airy, especially his hair, and then you read the description and it just made me smile. You have a really good story going there, and I hope you will update this picture when you have done more, because I cant wait to see it
What paint package are you doing it on?
I am terrible at trying to do realistic skin tones on photoshop. I just cant figure out which parts are meant to be shadowed (more than the obvious) and which are lighter etc etc. Sad but true. Iv been slacking off and doing minimalist manga type stuff lately heh.
