"I dream of the day I can hold her hand again. I dream of the day we can walk the cloud of oceans together. I dream of the day that she returns to us the way we knew her, but I know that last dream can not happen, as time changes all. Sometimes, for the better, sometimes for the worse. At first, I took what was changed for the worse. Her body, melded into mine, and her soul, calcified into her machine, what she calls, her grander self. For so long, a part of me thought her manifestation with me was separate from her greater self. Part of her did too, but that came into conflict with how she conducted herself. It pains me to admit that the woman I knew was gone long ago, most evident at the peak of her self destruction. I once thought I can bring her back, constantly peering into a facet her psyche, but no. I can't bring her back the way I knew her in her entirety. Instead, we can make her better. Build upon her tattered soul, make her more resilient. I can bring back all that I admired in her, the lover I once had, but together, this time we'll build her stronger. That she can finally do what her past self could not. To love herself, and what splinters off. Together we'll make her the lover she wants to be for me, and the mother she needs to be for our children." - Artemisia
