It's a shame we'll never get to see Super Rainbow Dash on "FiM." She seems like an awesome concept.

Don't doubt the possibility. It's really only a matter of whether Hasbro chooses to incorporate it or not.
One might say legal issues, though. That may be true if it was an OC, but its not. Rainbow Dash is still their property after all.
So really, what's stopping them from canonizing such a concept and a rather simple design of a Super form?
