Description
Here is my second original Cthulhu Mythos "race". The only thing defining this diverse group of beings is that they’re from the Furthest Depths, the abyss ’beneath’ the solid multiverse as we know it. Since their places of origin are very lacking in corporeal reality, the Neathers own natural forms are simple and subtle; some being transparent blobs while others are disembodied concepts. Some Neathers have formed naturally in the Depths while others are the faded remains of once-solid ’upper’ beings exiled there.
When the multiversal borders grow weak, these beings and other things can be brought to our universe through multiversal ’storms’. Most Neathers doesn’t survive entering our region of reality as they become frozen or absorbed into solid matter. Those that do become addicted to corporeal existence, vociferously trying to possess or even absorb complex matter into their being.
