The process is reversible to a point. Bertram will never be male again but his body could be dialled back by the nanites to more normal Steri-Nurse proportions, if the Doc ever gives her a chance

The objectification, the reduction of an individual, with their own hopes and dreams, skills and life experiences and knowledge base, to a faceless, anonymous drone, identical to all the others in its network save whatever customization is necessary for its assigned task. Even when that individual was arguably a sleazebag who deserved it. And that the individual might originally have been male.....
It's sick, twisted, and perverse. So I have to own my own enjoyment of what is really problematic material.

Awesome story Telsis! Great art all the way around and an especially great job on the transition from male to female for the new nurse! I like that fact that the good Dr. Phillips is the only person at the facility that knows the new nurse is/was human. Combine that with the fact Mr. Jennings is a helpless passenger in his own body as it goes about its duties, he is left with no hope of rescue or relief. Which makes for a perfect ending in my book!
