Description The tenth doctor is such a kicked puppy, haha.
I'm not sure who I like better, him or nine, because I love both. Nine only has one season though, and I only like ten when he's not super depressed, which is only a third of the time.

He's grown on me as well, especially once I started watching Matt Smith and I deeply missed him.
I mean, I love Eleven, but Ten is forever my fave.

Well it makes sense. I mean, the Time War is pretty nutty and intense, it totally deserves a fashion change.

As far as I found, there's no policy of the site prohibiting or requiring warning for PG-13 language.

TemBrook In reply to crazyartist12 [2012-11-18 16:34:19 +0000 UTC]

Trailer? Look, dude, if you can find a part in the dA guidelines about coarse language, feel free to quote and/or give me a link saying whether I can have PG-13 language in a deviation. I've said much worse in artist's comments and on forums without getting a warning, so I really don't think there's anything.

Arguably. The Rose thing wasn't really his fault, the Martha thing was shitty all around, and Donna was yeah kind of his fault.

Ten's easily the most bipolar of the Doctor's incarnations. Even Six didn't swing between mania and depression as much as Ten did. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Forever Alone Guy needs to be redone to look like David Tennant's Doctor.

Yeah, Ten's got some serious mood swings, I often joke Ten must be bipolar 'cause he's always at one extreme or the other; he's either super excitable, happy and hyper/angry, and yelling threats or really sad, crying and doesn't want to do anything. He's never in a normal, balanced mood, it's like watching a giant roller coaster, it can get rather dizzying after awhile. I haven't seen the old series so I don't know what Six is like.

That raining gif of Tennant that circulates Tumblr is the most accurate picture of him, haha.
I'm a firm believer of the theory that regenerations try to fix their previous Doctor's problems. Nine was colder and was having trouble dealing with his feelings, so they pumped the emotion-feeling up for Ten.
Then for Eleven it evened out to normal, but they pumped up the childishness so Eleven could be happy more often.

MountainLygon In reply to TemBrook [2012-08-25 03:31:07 +0000 UTC]

That's very plausible. Two was more open and closer to his companions than his predecessor, and he was definitely warmer and more compassionate. But he was also prone to panic and tended to play up the Distressed Dude trope. So when Three came along, not only was he forced by his exile to be more self-reliant, he also learned how to defend himself, balancing toughness and compassion. Even though he got into trouble a lot, he knew how to keep his cool and work out a way out of his situation. Four brought along a childlike nature that allowed him to not only show his companions the universe, but to see it as if through their eyes. That was something Three lacked. Five continued in that laid back attitude, but he also knew when he was pushing too far (unlike Four, who was a total troll). He also seemed to be one of the most compassionate Doctors. Six, I think was the first to show us the Doctor's personal struggles. He was outwardly bipolar, and he was the first to suggest that he is his own worst enemy. Unlike the previous incarnations, Six let us, the audience, in. He was a bit dramatic about it, but that's just another mask. At least it's a little less opaque. Seven fixed the Doctor's fashion sense. Sort of. He also demonstrated what the Doctor is capable of as far as being a chessmaster goes. Eight lightened up a bit--for a while, anyway. I've only seen his movie. I haven't heard or read anything else featuring Eight, so I can't really analyze his character.

It's so cool seeing how the Doctor's character has developed over his regenerations.

I haven't seen any of the old Who stuff yet (I got into this fandom... three weeks ago?) but that's cool that my theory holds out for them. Really wasn't expecting that! Haha.

Yeah I can't believe I watched six seasons in three weeks. Doctor Who is just that good. I'm taking a break for now to go to school, otherwise I'd probably get right into the old series as well.
At least the new episodes coming out this week (depending on where you live) will keep me busy.

I've done Eccleston and Tennant fanart, now I've gotta come up with something for Smith, hmmm.

How about River's response to, "I wear a [insert name of utterly insane hat here] now. [Insane hats] are cool." Then draw the Doctor wearing a hat that makes the fez look mundane my comparison.

Just an idea...
