I had this image pop into my head out of nowhere a couple of days ago, of a young fox character whoβs a runaway. Either theyβre running away from home. or maybe even trying to get back home. I loved the atmosphere and of what I pictured in my head, so I had to paint it. Enjoy!

Β I agree with you about the atmosphere of this pic, it looks great and it really adds to the scene enough to be an asset but not much to rob the focus on the character.

There's SO much beauty in this one picture... really hard to say what catches my attention the most.
The grass above the character's personally an eye catcher.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the details (background wise) was a bit more focused on this part; especially with how the lighting supported it.
All in all, a masterpiece from you once again, Temiree ^^

i think it would be worthwhile to give the char a bit of a rimlight, just so he stands out a tad more

It came out beautifully. Sad that he decided to runaway....or maybe it was for the best. Either way, there's always challenges ahead and you never know when the rain's gonna come crashing on the day. A little melancholy in a way if I may say so.Β
