TDU(Taurus Defense Unit)
The TDU is a group made of Carnotaurians that protect their tribe.The TDU has 4 ranks: Prey, Predator, Alpha, and Apex. The TDU are trained to manage their temper towards their opponents and avoid letting it get the better of them. Rookie TDU (Prey rank specifically)fall victim to the slightest insult or flare of a nostril opposed to the more experienced TDU(Alpha and Apex)in which the threat level will have to be higher to remotely phase them. The ranks can be identified by the illuminated claw marks on their uniform. The Apex rank has the TDU emblem that is skull shaped and 4 claw marks behind it. To rank up in the TDU you must serve at least 3 years in a rank before facing the head of each rank. To obtain the Apex position you must defeat the Apex himself in hand to hand combat. Guerrea is the current Apex for 15 years and has defeated all of his challengers, but not without breaking a few of their bones. Training has changed over 10 years since they have relocated and built war mechs. TDU spar with each other using their war mechs as well as target practice with their flame cannons.
WAR MECHS
The TDU power their mechs using resources that are exclusively obtained by entering a cave that leads to the heart of the volcano. Their war mechs have intimidation displays,attack features and defensive features.
FIRE MECHS
fire resistant(but not to lightning)
Flames erupt from back of neck when mech roars(intimidation feature)
Shoots fire from mouth(ranged attack)
Large forward facing horns made for impaling opponents(defense for close combat)
Rocket boosters in place of arms also lift front of the mech
SLAUGHTERED LIKE PREY
The reputation of the TDU is in question after a surprise attack by the Ceratosaurians in which 75 percent of the population was slaughtered like prey. Carnotaurians did not have war mechs at the time and could only flee as their home was destroyed. The Head Councilman and techs since then have been devising a plan to erase Ceratos from the plains. Until then the remainder of the Carnotaurians have relocated to a new spot south east of Mt.Espiritu Enfurecido. New orders from the council: Only TDU officials are permitted beyond the walls, the TDU will hunt for the tribe twice a day, If anyone comes in contact with a ceratosaurian, the cerato is to be killed on sight to avoid their new location from being discovered.
