"Ya. It's just that everyone knows who I am; what with me getting disqualified at the Olympics and all." Rebecca says. "And everyone knows I can run fast and that I'm invulnerable, so it just feels like I'm expected to; I don't know, DO something with it all."
Shrugging; "Why? I use my abilities for my job, but that doesn't mean you have to." Ariel assures her; "Though, if you want a job I can probably get you one actually. But you'd be running around the city delivering packages. You being invulnerable wouldn't matter really, unless you got hit by a car or something." she says with a grin.
Smiling at her; "That sounds like the sanest job offer I've gotten so far." Rebecca tells her.
"Well, if you want I can talk to Sam for you." Ariel offers.
"You haven't had any...you know, problems have you? With guys I mean." Rebecca asks cautiously.
"Oh no." Ariel says, then after a moment of thought; "Well, at first there was a few problems. A couple times guys thought I would strip for their bachelor party or whatever. And I had some guys grab my ass a few times. But that was the worst of it. Then I started taking self-defense lessons from a good friend of mine, and my boyfriend taught me how to handle a pistol and helped me get my carry permit. Ever since I started packing my pistol, I haven't had any problems at all."
"Wow, that's cool." Rebecca says. "Maybe I should take self defense classes."
Looking at the younger woman in surprise; "You were a City Defender and you don't know how to fight?" Ariel asks.
Shrugging her shoulders; "No, not really." Rebecca admits; "I can run real fast, and I can't get hurt. Usually I just had bullets bounce off of me or some guy would try to punch me and end up hurting his hand. That was pretty much it."
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened the other day?" Ariel asks.
"I don't know. I saw the guy punching me, and I guess I just froze." Rebecca admits; "I didn't think he'd knock me down like that. And once I was on the ground he just kinda came down with me, I didn't really have a chance to do anything, and then it was too late. If you hadn't came along..."
"Well I'm glad I did." Ariel assures her. "I'm going to give you a friend of mine's number; her name's Monique, she's a fitness instructor and also teaches self-defense."
"Wow, thanks." Rebecca exclaims.
"Well, we girls have to stick together." Arial tells her.
