Description
After calming Kimmy down Fred takes her to his clinic and calls Jennifer Smith, the Director of the 'Chain Gang' program, and technically his Parole Officer. Once he'd explained everything to her she agrees to come over. A couple hours later Jennifer and her boyfriend Tanner walk in. "So Kimmy, Fred tells me you've been acting...lets just say you haven't been acting yourself lately and it's been getting worse." Jennifer prods gently.
"I just...have to get rid of the evil in the world." Kimmy says softly.
"I see, well lets take a look shall we." Jennifer tells her as she uses her psychic powers to place the young woman in a trance, and then delves deep into her mind. After a few moments she says; "It looks like someone...did something to this poor girl."
"Some other psychic messed with her?" Fred asks.
"No, it's not psychic...it's...something else." Jennifer replies as she mentally struggles against whatever is causing Kimmy's change. "I think it's magic."
At this, Tanner looks at Kimmy carefully with his mage sight and then casts a spell; "She's been spelled alright, probably a memory glyph." He informs them; "Gimme a sec and I'll try to dispel it." he says as he kneels down and casts another spell. This one is very visible as a swirling magic orb encases Kimmy, slowly eroding something unseen as it undoes the memory glyph from Kimmy's mind.
"There...I'm through." Jennifer tells them. Then after a moment; "Oh you poor girl." she whispers softly.
Several minutes of silence follow as Tanners spell gets smaller and smaller as it erases the magic from Kimmy's mind, and then finally vanishes, its work complete. After a full five minutes Jennifer finally opens her eyes, her face pale from the strain of the last several minutes. Stumbling back, Tanner catches her until she's steady on her feet again.
"So? What's going on?" Fred demands anxiously.
After a few deep breaths the color returns to Jennifer's face; "Something happened to this poor girl, and whoever did it attempted to cover their tracks with magic. But magic and the mind don't mix well, and some of the emotions of the event...for lack of a better word, they leaked through. So your Kimmy just had all these emotions, and no idea where they came from." Jennifer informs them. "Poor girl's only outlet was to try to cure the world of evil men."
"So...what now?" Fred asks.
Glancing at him; "I erased her memories of the event, and all of her memories as Robyn Hood." Jennifer says; "Then I gave her new ones so there wouldn't be any gaps in her memories."
"Um, but messing with her mind is what caused all this in the first place." Fred says.
Looking at him with disdain; "Yes, because a mage tried to do the work of a psychic." Jennifer exclaims; "I have done this before, she'll be fine when she wakes up."
"Well I appreciate this, it's just with Xander....you know." Fred says meekly.
"Lets go out back and have a chat." Jennifer says ominously; "Tanner, you'll keep an eye on her?"
Noticing the look on his girlfriends face; "No problem hun." Tanner says agreeably.
