Description Pulling into the suburban driveway, Xander gets off his motorcycle and approaches the homeowner; "Are you Sam?" Xander asks.
"Who wants to know?" Sam asks him cautiously.
"I'm Alexander Lynch." Xander replies, attempting to look friendly.
"Ariel's boyfriend?" Sam asks, suddenly acting nervous; "Look, I know I've made some enemies, but nobody I know would hire you."
Shaking his head; "Relax, a hitman isn't going to pull into your driveway and introduce themselves." Xander tells him; "I'm actually here to talk to you about your business."
Suddenly becoming angry, Sam begins speaking loudly and waving his hands around while he says; "Look, I'll tell you the same thing I've told everyone else; the business is probably closing for good. All my competition managed to get explosive detectors, but since my business is the one that had a package kill three people, I can't get approved for a loan. They say I'm too high risk. Hell as it is I've already had to lay off half my bike messengers too, and unless something changes I'll be firing the rest of em next week." Shrugging helplessly; "The customers just ain't there anymore, unless I want to deliver drugs and shit. And believe me I've had offers, but after dealing with the feds for days, I ain't touching anything illegal. Wait, you're not here for your brother are you? Cause I ain't shipping guns around the city either. Already had enough of those ATF assholes. Now Ariel's a good girl, and I wish her the best, if I could get her working again I would in a heartbeat. Hell, to be honest she only did about ten percent of my business, but she doubled my profits for what I charged for her; and when her friend Tabitha was working too...well you do the math."
"Sam, calm down; you look like you're about to have a heart attack." Xander insists; "I came here because I've got a deal for you, if you're interested."
Suspiciously; "What kinda deal?" Sam asks.
"I've built an explosives detector; it's good enough to detect something as small as a single bullet. An anthrax detector too." Xander explains; "I'll give these to you, plus five grand for you to make a TV commercial that you're still in business. All you need to say is something along the lines of 'the people of this city have done so much for my company that I want to pay them back by providing the same great service at the same great price' or some such bullshit."
Sam's wide eyed expression at Xanders statement suddenly shatters as Sam breaks into uncontrollable laughter; "Don't you listen? The customers have moved over to my competition! Sure, most of em would rather have a hot chick deliver their packages; but right now is still too soon, so they settle for those damn drones."
"Trust me Sam, you're competition is about to have 'technical problems'." Xander says ominously.
After a moment of contemplation; "And what do you want?"
"Five percent of the profits, as a silent partner." Xander says.
"Five percent?" Sam asks skeptically.
"Fine three percent." Xander replies; "And you can't ever tell Ariel about our deal!"
Looking in total surprise at the hitman; "Ok, I'm not usually one to look a gift horse in the mouth; but why are you really doing this? Three percent, hell five percent isn't shit." Sam says.
Sighing heavily; "I love Ariel;" Xander informs him; "but I can't take being with her twenty four seven anymore; you got to get her back to work!"
