Description
A layout sketch for an episode from The Silmarillion when the Sons of Fëanor seize the twin sons of Eärendil while Elwing escapes with the Silmaril in bird-form.I like this second layout better because obviously the reactions of the characters are more visible, even though Elwing herself is not. Although I was only aiming for a layout, my Maedhros muse must have been on his toes that day because this is one of my all-time favorite drawings of him. I was going for a sort of 'stern resignation' with the SoF as it is at this moment that they realize the Valar are truly against them. The expressions on Elrond and Elros turned out nicely, too.

Woh. Maedhros is awesome. (Except the left hand, alright. Though the other one is very nicely done. Hm. Well.)
Elrond and Elros seem a little too old, but well...As the Silmarillion at least is not too precise, I suppose it is but my own opinion. Oh, and the one on the right side (of the drawing) has a rather peculiar stance, but nevermind.
As for Maglor...(Maedhros the tall, indeed !). The only criticism I'd make is that he does not seem dressed for battle, that his robe would rather embarass him, endanger him. And kind though the elf may be...Well.
But apart from these details, a really great piece.

I like this picture!
My only piece of critisism is about Maedhros' hand. In my experience, it is actually impossible to hold anything with your wrist twisted round like that.
Other than that, brilliant!
