Description

Wrecked by the events of the previous year, the shroom filled Colosseum and death of his patron, Dulcis was at a loss. Anger and sadness warred within him and he spent months wondering, searching for some way to bring back Death. What was he after all, a cleric without their patron is practically nothing. Why shouldn't he be angry, furious at Life for taking away Death. He could no longer speak to her, get her guidance, or even feel her love on the wind. The world around him had grown cold and colourless, even as winter passed and slowly leaves began to grow again and flowers bloomed on the wrings of spring's arrival. It wasn't until he found himself in a valley, a small one no more than a mile wide, that something changed in him. At the center of the valley, a tall, spiraling tree stood alone, with something sitting at its base. Slowly, Dulcis made his way to it and slowly a small wooden statue of Death came into view. He didn't notice how much it hurt to look at it until he was up close to it, staring at the statue with a blank gaze for a long time. Tears had started rolling down the kukuri's face without him realizing, and he'd sat down at some point when his legs grew tired. He couldn't look away, but at some point he began openly sobbing, the anger that clung to his heart seeping away to sorrow. Around him the colour slowly began to fade back in, grass once a bland grey-green turning vibrant and lush; sakura petals that fell from the tree gaining the a vibrant pink that he hadn't seen before; and the wood seeming to fill with life once more as it gained it's warmth back. He stay'd there, weeping and mourning for his god, and slowly letting go the anger he had before.
